Playing with Powder
Inspiration: Stacey Lynn Smith
Stacey’s work was one of the driving factors for my interest in glass. After seeing the way she used screen printing to create bold, blocky designs, I was inspired to buy my kiln, some screen printing supplies, and a LOT of glass powder.
My Work
I created the following tiles during a 3-day Powder Printing class led by Stacey Lynn Smith at the Bullseye Resource Center Portland. The screens are her designs. This was an opportunity to explore texture and color options with different process temperatures (tack vs. full fuse).
